Marine plywood grid
Our proposal consists of a wooden grid, onto which paper folded units (origami) are suspended. Their position create the word Ambiance. The curved shape of the grid creates spaces for lectures, video projections, and gathering.
The grid’s structure is conceptually divided into three horizontal axes, imitating the structure of the urban atmosphere. In the first axis, starting from the bottom, the units are arranged more densely indicating the ground. The following second axis, represents the building infrastructure of the city, with the units appearing more sparsely creating perforated surfaces. Finally, the third axis indicates the sky in the absence of pleated units.
